According to legend, San Niang 三娘 was stunningly beautiful, in Chinese we called her beauty as 倾国倾城 which means her beauty causes the downfall of cities and countries. She wanted to marry her Mr. Right but no one know what was the reason that she did offended the God of Marriage and this cause her unable to get marriage in her entire life. San Niang wanted revenge and she vowed to create havoc at every marriage.

Therfore, in ancient Chinese, couples try to avoid San Niang Sha days which falls on the 3rd, 7th, 13th, 18th, 22nd and 27th day of every lunar month.

Feng Shui Kitchens

Friday, 19 November 2010

In FengShui, the kitchen play a very important rule. To Chinese and all people, kitchen represents wealth, prosperity, nourishment and health; after all, it’s human nature to associate food and nutrition with nurturing and sustenance. In term of fengshui how you design and decorate the kitchen can influence your prosperity, wealth and health.

The first thing to consider when looking at the kitchen is its location within the whole house. Ideally the kitchen will be in the back of the house, at least behind centerline of house. However, many houses especially many units of condominium (like the one in HongKong) are small in size and have not much choice where their kitchen is position at the front left or right side just after the main door.

Mirrors in Feng Shui - What you should know about mirrors in FengShui.

Tuesday, 5 October 2010

In Chinese there is a saying “鏡不要對門貴人好近身”. This is translated as mirrors should not be place facing our main door in order to get good noble persons.

Mirrors can also gather yin qi and therefore, you must be careful when you want to use mirrors. Hidden mirrors have many type of colors which represent different elements. For example, blue and black represents water and in fengshui water represents money. If you have too many of them, the chances of losing money are much higher.

FengShui helps in selling your house.

Thursday, 5 August 2010

Throughout my Fengshui practice, many have asked me to provide Fengshui tips to assist them with the selling of their houses. Some real estate agents will ask for solutions on how to use fengshui to help move their property fast.

The most important FengShui tip is the owner must have a firm decision and must let go. In FengShui, intention must be clearly visualized for the energy of Qi of the Universe to follow and have manifestation occur. Whether it is buying or selling house or office, FengShui will assist all parties involved.

Chinese New Year is getting near as we are approaching Monday, January 23, 2012. Do you know when to clean your house in order to have a prosperous 2012? Check it out.

Tuesday, 2 March 2010

Chinese New Year Eve usually is on 30th lunar day of 12th lunar month. However, a lunar month might have only 29 days. In this case, the Chinese New Year Eve becomes on 29th day of 12th lunar month. For 2012, New Year Eve falls on 29th day of 12th lunar month that is 22 Jan 2012. The next day 23 Jan 2012 will be a new moon day, which is the Chinese New Year Day.

It is a custom in a Chinese household to thoroughly clean their home before the Chinese New Year’s Eve to get rid of the bad luck of the previous year. It’s similar to the “out with the old, in with the new”. In ancient China this is usually done on the 28th day of the 12 lunar month. However, this day might not be auspicious. Therefore other auspicious day is selected.

Thursday, 31 December 2009

In FengShui or BaZi Four Pillars of Destiny, sometime I felt it is a bit cruel but we have to find a definition for what “Good luck” means. Chinese are very materialistic and the definition of Bad or Good luck lies in one word.

            “MONEY” or "财 "

The last word from Gong Xi Fa Chai 恭喜发财.

Of course this defintion is only applicable to adults but the age boundary is getting younger and younger.
