Dear Master, What actually is this Conception Pillar ? Some says it's used to know who you were during your past life. Some says it is used as preliminary pillar before the first Luck Pillar arrives, if the LP doesn't start at age 1. I try to examine few of my acquaintances' conception pillar. Some of them has clashes with the month or year pillar, but none of them said there were extreme negative happening during their young age. So, what actually is this conception pillar ? Is it important to know the health of the baby ? Thanks a lot. Really hope you can teach us some.

Accodding to 鬼谷子, “if the birth sits on prosperous, one will be born in a wealthy family; if it meets on emptiness, poverty will give birth to complaints and resentment.” Nowadays it is commonly used by practitioners to ascertain if a child will suffer from mental retardation, deformity or any other form of birth defects before he or she is born 胎元 conception pillar is 100 days before a baby is born. i.e 10 months Therefore from the month pillar , the next stem and the next 3 branch is the conception pillar. For example the month pillar is甲子 JiaZi the conception pillar will be 乙卯 YiMao. Some practitioners will used this pillar when they faced with some unexplained situation. However, we never consider this as a crucial imformation. The 11 characters (minus the DayMaster) is already very sufficient. Cheers, Peter |
