Winter Solstice 冬至 (Feng Shui) |

Hi Master Peter, Normally we know Asia time is one day ahead USA. So, all Chinese Holidays or Lunar Holidays are one day ahead USA except Winter Solstice has been one day later than USA in terms of Western Calendar. All these years I still follow Lunar Calendar to eat rice ball for 冬至. However, I have been wondering why Winter Solstice in USA is one day earlier than Asia. For example, this year the Winter Solstice (冬至) on the Lunar Calendar of 2023 is December 22 (Friday) but the western calendar said Winter Solstice is December 21 (Thu)? Which should we follow? Is that ok to use Lunar Calendar in the USA? So, Asian-American can still celebrate 冬至 on Friday (December 22) which is Saturday of Asia this year. Please comment and advise. Thanks. Bliss

Hi Master Peter, Ok. I got it wrong. Regarding Winter Solstice, I would follow Western Calendar from now on. Was it very bad I followed the date on Lunar Calendar? Thanks. Bliss
