Flying stars vs Eight mansion (Feng Shui)

Dear Master Peter,

It’s seldom finding a flying star chart that isn’t contradictory to its house gua.
In order to activate or suppress good and bad locations, how do we define which method is more potent? The flying stars or the eight mansions?
For example: If a room is located in NW and is in the same location as Huo Hai, and the natal flying stars are 6/8/9, what approach would you use to suppress the Huo Hai in that location whilst activating the good stars?

When doing FS, there is always plus and minus point between FS, 8 Mansion etc. All these must be considered.

Cheers.
