Continuation of the 2013 Case Study

This article is a continuation of a BaZi case study I first documented in 2013. Back then, I analyzed Conan’s chart and shared a 5-part series. They highlighted his early struggles, the challenges he faced during unfavorable TaYun. However, I also told him that beginning in 2012, with the arrival of his 4th TaYun, his fortune would begin to shift upwards. This new cycle would gradually lift him out of his low point. It will open up the way for success in both career and love life. Now, more than a decade later, Conan has returned with updates on his life. His journey has unfolded just as the BaZi chart suggested, moving from hardship into lasting success.
Fulfillment of the Prediction
Recently, Conan came back to update me on his current situation. As predicted, he has indeed risen strongly since 2012. Today, he is the proud owner of a multinational company and enjoys a beautiful, harmonious family life. What once looked like a difficult journey has now transformed into a life of achievement and fulfillment — exactly as his BaZi chart indicated a decade ago.
A Good Chart Meets a Bad TaYun
Conan’s natal BaZi is fundamentally strong. His Day Master is well supported, his structure is stable, and his useful Ten Gods are clearly defined. This gives him resilience and capacity for success. However, even the best charts cannot escape the influence of unfavorable TaYun. When a 10-year Luck Cycle brings elements that clash or suppress the useful Ten Gods, the chart enters a rough patch.
A bad TaYun does not erase the foundation of a good chart, but it does create resistance. It’s like a skilled sailor meeting stormy weather: the ship won’t sink, but progress slows. Conan’s strong BaZi kept him safe from collapse, yet the unfavorable TaYun made everything harder. Opportunities took longer to mature, efforts required more energy, and achievements arrived with delay rather than ease.
Emerging From the Worst
The contrast between the 3rd and 4th TaYun is striking. In the 3rd, Conan’s most useful Ten God was suppressed, creating hardship. In the 4th, that suppression was lifted, and positive stars resurfaced. Symbolically, it was as if he had endured the deepest night only to see the dawn. From 2012 onwards, his chart showed the potential for rebuilding both his career and personal happiness.
Slowed but Not Destroyed
This explains why Conan’s difficult cycles did not “kill” him. His natal chart is too solid to be broken by a single TaYun. However, the clash between chart and luck cycle meant he could not move at full speed. Career plans stalled, relationships hit roadblocks, and progress felt heavy. He was never without hope, but his forward movement was definitely slowed.
Conan’s 4th TaYun illustrates how BaZi cycles reflect the rhythm of life: periods of suppression are followed by revival. Starting in 2012, he moved out of the worst and into a phase where opportunities in both work and love could be realized. For those studying BaZi, his case is a reminder that no difficult cycle lasts forever — and that patience during hardship eventually brings renewal.
The Power of his 4th RenWu 壬午 TaYun
Conan’s current TaYun is RenWu 壬午, which is especially auspicious for him. The heavenly stem Ren Water 壬 brings out strong Officer stars (官杀) — Direct Officer and Seven Killings — which represent authority, leadership, and recognition. The earthly branch Wu Fire 午 provides wealth energy, and because Fire is his wealth element, it strengthens his ability to accumulate assets and manage large enterprises.
At the same time, this TaYun activates his useful Resource stars (印卩, Wood). Resource nurtures his Day Master, keeping him stable and wise in decision-making. With strong Resource supporting his Officer stars, Conan not only holds power but also wields it with clarity, making him highly respected in his field.
Supportive of his Useful Ten Gods 喜用神: The Secret of His Success
What makes this cycle especially powerful is the Strong Useful Ten Gods 喜喜神 and favorableTen Gods 喜神 Water, Wood, and Fire:
- Water (官杀) gives Conan authority and influence.
- Wood (印卩) provides wisdom, strategy, and stability together with helpful people 贵人
- Fire (财) represents wealth and material gain.
Sixty Years of Auspicious Luck
Looking ahead, Conan’s BaZi shows that he has 60 years of auspicious TaYun lined up. This means that the foundation of his current success will not be short-lived but will continue to expand and flourish over the decades. He is now positioned for long-term prosperity, enjoying not just material abundance but also harmony in relationships and family.
Conan’s story demonstrates the accuracy of BaZi forecasting when the chart is carefully analyzed. From hardship in earlier TaYun, he has risen into a cycle of prosperity and fulfillment. His RenWu TaYun reveals how the right combination of Ten Gods — Resource, Officer, and Wealth — can lift a person to extraordinary heights. With sixty years of auspicious luck ahead, Conan’s journey is only beginning, and his future promises even greater accomplishments.
Back in 2013, I documented Conan’s chart in a series of five articles, analyzing his Day Master, his early TaYun, and the challenges he faced during his 3rd Luck Cycle. At that time, I highlighted that starting from 2012, his fortune would turn, and he would slowly rise in both career and love. Today, ten years later, those writings have been proven accurate.
Looking Back: Conan’s BaZi Case Study from 2013
Conan’s journey is not just a recent success story — it is the continuation of a case study I first documented over a decade ago. In 2013, I published a five-part series analyzing his BaZi chart, his Day Master strength, and the challenges he faced during his earlier TaYun. At that time, I highlighted that beginning in 2012, his fortune would gradually turn upward, leading to breakthroughs in both career and love life.
Today, with Conan’s remarkable success, we can clearly see how those forecasts have unfolded. For readers who wish to revisit the original series, here are the links to each part:
