Kenneth Choi Fung-Wah 蔡楓華 is a singer and actor from Hong Kong. He composed the music for the 1981 song, "Beautiful Silhouette" (倩影, "Sin Ying"), which won an award at the 1981 RTHK Top 10 Gold Songs Awards. Caron (卡龍) wrote the lyrics of the song.
Kenneth Choi (or Ken Choi) was involved in one of the most infamous incident of Cantopop of the 1980s and that stalled his music career for 25 years.
In 1985, Ken Choi was co-host of the most important TV music show in Hong Kong: TVB's Jade Solid Gold. During a segment of an episode of the show, Ken Choi criticized Leslie Cheung with the words: A moment of brightness may not represents eternity ("一剎那光輝未必代表永恆"). Leslie Cheung was than at the peak of his career and he and Alan Tam were dominating Cantopop. Ken Choi made his infamous comment in that TV segment after some reporting about Leslie Cheung's concert by another reporter. Since the TV show was broadcast live, there was no opportunity to correct the mistake. This incident lead to the downfall of Ken Choi's music career.
Now let’s take a look at his BaZi Four Pillars of Destiny.
Geng 庚 metal born in the month of Hai 亥 water, a weak Geng 庚 metal daymaster. He has his talents which represented by earth but this Wei 未 earth is not shining. His fame and recognition come from his JiChou 己丑 TaYun (1973-1982) when earth was strong. Without strong earth, his singer career will go south.
1983 GengYin 庚寅 TaYun (1983-1992), earth was missing, even Geng 庚 metal is his favorable (his wealth, his money) but suppression is strong in his chart. 1985 乙丑 year, Chou 丑 earth was there but hidden metal was exhausted. From his chart, it shows his tendency of wrong speaking at the wrong time.
This is a common problem for many when the luck comes from TaYun 大运 and not from our BaZi Four Pillars of Destiny.
