When you are in the process to decide the strength of the daymaster or any of the 10 stems 天干, you must not ignore the presence of their sub-qi. Each sub-qi can have major contributions to the strength of the 10 stems in the process of produce and generate 生剋 in our daily BaZi Four Pillars analyses.
A 甲 Jia wood at stem has the same strength as a Jia 甲 wood at branch. Jia 甲 wood is still Jia 甲 wood does not differ in strength only how they interact with others. This applied to all others 10 stems.
It is wrong to consider one 甲 Jia wood at branch is 3 times stronger than one 甲 Jia wood at stem.

Xi Jinping is currently serving as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission.
The leader of the world's most populated country and second largest economy (GDP), Xi Jinping holds a firm grasp on China's only political party.
In March, China's parliament amended its constitution, broadening Xi's power and scrapping term limits.
In 2016 Xi Jinping was elevated to a Communist Party "core" leader in 2016, an honor previously bestowed upon Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping.

The twelve branches are divided into four “produce 四生”, four “king 四旺” and four “grave 四墓”.
The second and third are called sub Qi. Main Qi and Sub qi are different in their combinations and characteristic but their stem’s strength are the same.
For example 寅 Yin consists of 甲丙戌, the main Qi is 甲, sub qi are 丙 and 戌. Their strength are all the same.
Now this pose a problem when we try to determine the stength of a BaZi Four pillars chart. Should we use only the main Qi, or both main and also the sub Qi?
