This is her story.

Her mother abandoned her when she was 5 (1952). She lived with her grandparents until she was 10 (1957) when suddenly her mother came back into her life. Her relationship with her mother has always been bad. Growing up, there were a lot of arguing, blaming and sadness. To her she is a toxic mother as she put it. She dropped out from school when she was 16 (1963) when her mother asked her to stay home to take care of her younger brother. When she turned 18 (1966), She moved out and started to work.

Floyd Cardoz was an Indian-born American famous chef.

Floyd Cardoz died from COVID-19 on March 25, 2020, at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey, at the age of 59. He had been hospitalized for a week after travelling from Mumbai to New York through Frankfurt on March 8, falling sick and testing positive for the virus.
