Stairs kindly face onto the front door (Feng Shui) |

Hello Peter, Chinese old saying always says that front door can't face directly onto the stairs going upstaris when it is opened. I am not sure if it is trute. However, the house I am thinking to buy has double doors (see the following picture). The right door will be used only but the left door will be locked on the bottom without using at all. It looks like the right door is not inline with the stairs when it is opened. the stairs will have 3 steps as the pictures you can see and then make a turn on the right to upstairs. Do you think this is ok Feng Shui if I just use right door? Can I put a tree or a glasswater anywhere in the entrance porch? Please kindly advice.
Thanks so much. I like your blog a lot. I am pretty new in Feng Shui. I found a lot of solution by reading this forum. Bob

Hello Peter, I found out that I made mistake to descripe the door. Here I will correct. I will use the left side of double door only and the right side will be locked wihout using at all (standing inside front door looking out). When I open the left side of double door, the stairs face onto the right side if the double door which is locked. So is it correct that the Chinese saying of "don't open front door directly onto stairs)? By the way, can you see the pictures as I have not received your comment? Thanks. Bob
