BaZi : Death & Emptiness 空亡

If a person enters a 10 year annual luck with Death & Voidness (DE), and if the elements are bad does it means the negative effects are reduced, all thanks to DE? Does this applies the same? I am entering into a peach blossom ten year luck but not sure how does these DE affects? I am currently in my current ten year luck with DE I suppose it helps reduce some bad effects. Any guidance is appreciated and if there is any article on this which I missed from your web please let me know where I can read it. Thanks.
