Is a Success Day always good for business openings?
Not necessarily.
A Success Day (成日) is generally favorable for activities that aim for achievement, progress, or completion. It's good for things like signing contracts, launching projects, or making announcements.
But Here's the Catch
- Need to check with the Dong Gong date selection that has been implemented in our Tong Shu.
- Success Days are general indicators — they don’t account for:
- Your personal BaZi (Four Pillars) compatibility
- The specific activity (e.g., opening a shop vs. launching a website)
- The location’s Feng Shui
- Some Success Days may clash with your BaZi, or fall on a month breaker, which weakens their effect.
For Business Openings
You must choose a day with Wealth, Opening, or Establishment energies that support your BaZi — especially your Useful Ten Gods (喜用神).
