Is it bad if my bed faces the bedroom door of the house?
People say this is the Coffin Position, but coffins are only carried out through the main door downstairs. I’m staying in a two-storey house.
If my bed faces the upstairs bedroom door, is it still the Coffin Position?

So you’re right: the funeral logic is only relevant to the main door downstairs, but the Qi flow and privacy logic applies to any bedroom door. That’s why modern Feng Shui masters still advise against feet-to-door upstairs.
So is it “real” Feng Shui?
Yes — it’s a genuine Feng Shui concept based on Qi flow and the command position, not just myth. But people sometimes oversimplify it into a superstition, when in fact the advice is about balance, comfort, and energy flow.
Remedies if You Can’t Avoid It- Shift bed position so it’s diagonal to the door (ideal).
- Use a footboard, low screen, or rug near the door to slow down Qi before it hits you.
- Keep the door closed at night — reduces the direct Qi flow.
