There is a swimming pool from a neighboring condominium located behind my house. Since it was built, it feels as if everything is working against me. What can I do?

Is this good or bad?

Thanks

Feng Shui Considerations for a Pool at the Back of Your House

In Feng Shui terms, the setup of your house having a pool behind is likely to have more negative aspects.

Since you mentioned that after the pool was built, things have not been in your favor, it is very likely that the pool has altered the energy flow.

Potential Concerns

If the pool is too close, large, or irregularly shaped, it can create disruptive or unstable energy.

Moving water (e.g., fountains, jets) directed toward your house may create pressure or stress.

Since the pool is part of a high-rise condo, the shadow or building itself may block energy flow or create “Sha Qi.” This can create stress or energy clashes.

For the water behind your house to be beneficial, it must be in the correct position.

Why a pool added later can be unfavorable

• Energy disruption:

In Feng Shui, the back of the house represents support, stability, and backing in life. A pool built after you moved in may alter the energy flow, creating instability or pressure.

• Timing matters:

The original environment you moved into let say it was supportive for your BaZi or the home’s Feng Shui layout. Adding a new water feature nearby can change the elemental balance, especially if it wasn’t positioned according to auspicious locations.

• Distance and size:

Pools that are too close, large, or irregularly shaped can create “sha qi” (negative energy) or excessive Metal/Water influence, which may stress your health, career, or relationships.

Possible adjustments to improve the Feng Shui.

The least that you can try.

• Plants or barriers:

• Place tall shrubs, hedges, or decorative screens between your house and the pool to soften the energy flow.

• Focus on internal setup:

Use Water and Wood elements inside the house to balance the added Metal/Water from the pool but need to be careful as you need to check with your BaZi.

• Avoid direct sightlines:

Keep windows or doors from directly facing turbulent or reflective water.

• Activate beneficial areas:

Strengthen your beneficial sector.

My advice is to have someone come and take a look at it.
