Dear Master,
I have a question, if you don't mind.
Is it bad to have my bed under a sloping ceiling? Both my husband and I have been experiencing headaches and unease for some time now.
What can I do about it?
Thank you,

In term of Feng Shui, placing a bed under a sloping ceiling is generally considered inauspicious (不吉利) Here's why.
It’s considered bad due to the following reasons.
Oppressive Energy (压迫感) A sloped ceiling creates a sense of pressure, especially directly above the head or body while sleeping. This symbolizes emotional or mental pressure, leading to stress or poor sleep.
Uneven Qi Flow (气场不均) The slope can cause imbalanced Qi, which disrupts restful energy. You may feel tired, irritable, or anxious over time.
Symbol of Instability The slant may visually represent unbalanced support in life — whether in health, relationships, or career.
The common issues based on bed position include
Sloped ceiling over your head can bring headaches, stress, and mental pressure.
Sloped ceiling over your chest and heart can bring anxiety, breathing issues, emotional imbalance.
Over your whole bed can bring anxiety, breathing issues, emotional imbalance.
Common Feng Shui remedies If you cannot move the bed, consider these adjustments:
1. Hang a canopy or fabric over the bed to visually "flatten" the ceiling and soften the oppressive effect.
2. Paint the slope a lighter color to reduce visual heaviness.
3. Place a solid, supportive headboard to create symbolic protection and grounding.
4. Reposition the bed if possible so the sloped part is not directly over the head or chest.
But the best practice in Feng Shui is
• Ideally, avoid sleeping directly under sloped ceilings, especially where the ceiling is low or sharp.
• If you must sleep there, implement visual and energetic remedies to reduce the impact.
This can be especially unfavorable if both you and your husband are currently in an inauspicious Luck Pillar (TaYun 大运) in term of BaZi Four Pillars of Destiny.
