I have this concern. Hope Master can enlightened me.
I have this lot of metal just outside the left side of main door. It is good in term of Feng Shui?
Main door facing north.

This is a basic Feng Shui analysis.
When you main door facing North, North belongs to the Water element. Water is nurtured by Metal in the Five Elements cycle (金生水), so Metal is generally supportive of a North-facing door.
In traditional Feng Shui, when standing inside the house looking out, the left side is the Green Dragon (青龙) side, representing yang energy, movement, and male energy. Ideally, this side should be active, uplifted, or protected, but not too aggressive or heavy.
Make sure the metal is neatly arranged, clean, and well-maintained (e.g., stainless steel railings, decorative metalwork, etc.). The shape is round, smooth, or symbolically auspicious (e.g., metal pots with healthy plants, wind chimes). Also make sure The metal does not block the Qi flow or create a threatening appearance.
Unfavorable when the metal is rusty, sharp, jagged, or broken (symbolizes sha qi/negative energy). There is a large structure like a transformer, metal fencing, or construction site too close to the main door - especially if it's pressing down or forms a “cutting” shape.
The metal is concentrated on the left side only, which may unbalance the Qi, especially if the right (White Tiger) side is quiet or low.
Since the door is facing North (Water) and metal supports water, the elemental relationship is okay. However, observe the quality, quantity, and form of the metal objects -Neutral to mildly beneficial if well-placed. Potentially harmful if excessive, heavy, or aggressive in appearance.
You can use plants on the right side (Tiger side) to restore balance if needed. At the same time ensure symmetry and avoiding visual or energetic oppression on just one side.

Hi Master,
Thanks for answering.
Actually this metal stuff is all brass Feng Shui items that I bought last time. Keeping them inside also no use. I don't want to throw away so just put outside on the left. I have Pi Yao, Dragon, brass Tortoise, Coins, etc.
Should I just close my eyes and throw them away?

Since the metal items are brass Feng Shui items placed outside on the left side of a North-facing main door, here's what to consider
Brass is a Metal element, and since North is Water, the elemental relationship is still supportive (Metal generates Water).
If the items are Feng Shui remedies (e.g. brass Pi Yao, dragons, coins, pagodas, etc.), they carry symbolic energy, which may or may not be beneficial depending on what they're used for and how they're placed.
Placement on the Left (Green Dragon side)
Placing auspicious symbols on the left side is traditionally okay, especially if they’re active, positive, or protective.
However, if it’s a large cluster, it might appear cluttered, excessive, or imbalanced, especially if
The right side (White Tiger) has nothing.
The brass items are no longer "activated" or relevant (e.g. bought for year, or problem).
What I suggest,
Declutter or group mindfully, choose only a few meaningful or good-condition items to keep.
The rest can be respectfully stored or offered to someone who might use them.
Balance the Tiger side (right side when looking out from the door) like aAdd a plant, stone, or light feature to prevent imbalance.
Intention matters and important.
Feng Shui is not just objects - it’s about Qi flow and intention.
If these brass items are just sitting unused, they may have stagnant energy and not provide any benefit.
It’s better to have fewer Feng Shui items placed purposefully than many sitting around without intent.
So if you don't want to throw them away, consider cleansing them with incense or salt water, storing them properly,
or giving them new purpose, rather than letting them sit out passively.
One one last thing and the most important.
If Metal is your hostile element in term of your BaZi, it can be very bad for you. Whether Metal is good or bad for you in your BaZi depends entirely on your Day Master (day of birth) and the overall strength and balance of your chart.
