Fengshui concept of time - Time Dimensions.

The universe is by no means static and natural influences change with the passage of time. Consequently feng shui must also change over time and neither its good nor bad influences can last forever. As such, a proper feng shui theory must incorporate the element of time and should be able to trace the pattern of change over time.

Times is divided into cycles of 180 years. These cycles have three 60-years periods, each labelled as Upper, Middle, and Lower periods. Three age of 20-year duration are contained in each period, resulting in a total of Nine Ages for each 180-year cycle. For example, the twenty year period from 2004 - 2003 (inclusive) form the Age 8 and the twenty year period from 2024-2043 (inclusive) form the Age 9.

This concept of Age or period of a building or structure is very important and crucial in determining the feng shui of the building.
