Good day does not equal good BaZi. The study of BaZi is already have more than 2000 years in history. But the Chinese Alamanac "Tong Shu" 通書 has never shows how to select a good BaZi. This is because Caesarean Birth is never a norm in ancient China. Chinese Almanac only have 12 Day Offices (建除十二神) and we can use these method to do a basic selection or to be more precise to eliminate bad days.

"Good date NOT NECESSARY means Good BaZi".

The study of BaZi is already have more than 2000 years in history. But the Chinese Alamanac "Tong Shu" 通書 has never shows how to select a good BaZi. This is because Caesarean Birth is never a norm in ancient China.

A lot of parents who believed in FengShui and BaZi but do not have much understanding in Feng Shui or BaZi, tends to have the concept that by selecting a good day using the Chinese Almanac to choose a date printed in red and choose an auspicious hour,is already enough to ensure both mother and son are safe and most probably the child will enjoy good life in the future. But this is not true, as good day does not necessary means good life. If only the selected good date and hour is also belong to a good BaZi.

Until today, the Chinese Almanac still do not shows any good date and time to give birth.

Chinese Almanac only have 12 Day Offices (建除十二神) both use in FengShui and BaZi Click here for more and we can use these method to do a basic selection or to be more precise to eliminate bad days.

Days to avoid

1.Avoid "Destruction 破 (Po)" days

Whoever born on these day, his/her marriage will suffer and might end up in divorce. This is due to the fact that these days will definitely clash with the month's branch. Relationship among two generation is rough. Day's branch is the "Spouse/Marriage palace" and month's branch is the "Parents Palace".

2. Avoid "Success 成 (Cheng)" and "Stable 定 (Ding)" day

You might think that The word "Sucess" and "Stable" will bring a good BaZi. but it is not.

As Day's branch is the "Spouse/Marriage palace" any combination is not good. Here "Spouse palace" will combine with month's branch (三合). This indicate marriage is no way ideal or more than one marriage.

3. In the month of Chen 辰, Wu 午 , You 酉, Hai 亥 (the 3rd, 5th ,8th, 10th month of the solar calendar), avoid "Establish 建 (Jian)" day

BaZi for those who born on these day, will have day and month branch "harming" with each other (曰月自刑) and again marriage is unstable and relationship with their parents is bad.

Take an example, the following BaZi chart belong to a boy who was born on the "Wu 午" month (the 5th month) and on a "Establish 建 (Jian)" day.

As he is going to have 20 years of strong wealth luck. he will be very rich, but.....

Month, day, and hour branches are harming among themselves, relationship among three generation will be bad. Will harm parents, spouse and his children. Any Rat 子 year will clash with all three branches, any Horse 午 year will harm all the three branches, and any Tiger 寅, Dog 戌 or Ram 未 year will combine with all three "Wu 午" branches. His whole life will be full of challenges, uncertainties and worries. If only given a choice.....

Figure 1. Month, day, and hour branch are fighting among themselves, relationship among three generation is bad.

Important Note : The above is only to show the basic of certain days to avoid and it does not necessary means avoiding these days will sure be a good BaZi. To have a good BaZi, one must consider the whole BaZi chart, decades and years which include all combinations, transformations, clashes and so on.
