Hi Master Peter,
I have another question. This is regarding my brother's house.
His main door facing a lamp post. It is located on the left of the entrance.
Any bad affects? Please advice what shall be done.
Thanks with best regards.

In Feng Shui, a main door facing a lamp post directly is generally considered inauspicious, especially if the lamp post is aligned straight in front of the door (like an arrow pointing at it). This setup creates what is called a “poison arrow” (煞气, Sha Qi)
Why this is a problem?
Poison Arrow Effect (煞气) - The lamp post creates a sharp, vertical, aggressive energy directed at your front door — this is believed to cut into the Qi of your home, affecting health, harmony, and prosperity.
It is blocking of Qi flow - It can interrupt the smooth flow of beneficial energy into the house, making it harder for wealth and good luck to “enter.”
Symbolically, the pole represents obstacles or “being pinned down” — especially harmful to career, relationships, or emotional wellbeing over time.
Possible Effects include
Unexpected expenses, wealth not accumulating
Difficulty in career progress
Tension or stagnation in family or relationships
Sleep disturbances or emotional stress (if door aligns with bedroom)
If it is on the side the affect is lessen.
Here are the Feng Shui remedies or cures.
Hang a convex Ba Gua mirror above the main door (outside) to deflect the Sha Qi from the lamp post. Use with care — only if the lamp post is directly aligned.
Place tall potted plants near the door (on the inside or just outside) to soften or block the energy.
